Phase3 Breakfast Muesli & Protein Patty

Phase 3 is very Impartant, do not ignore. After all conscious diet, phase 3 breakfast makes embracing, but we need to eat such a big breakfast to wake‐up the pancreas and train it to produce the correct amount of insulin. Here is an another simple vegetarian* breakfast idea (Note: Morningstar Patty contains Egg Whites as one of ingredients, so you can instead use Boca Vegan Protein Patty).

  1. We need 400~500 calories of breakfast in phase3 from Dairy(Max 120 cal, Max 15g carbs), Grians (Max 30g carbs), Protein(aim for ~25g including all sources), Fruit (Max 20 carbs) & Fat (~15g). Look at following table with nutrition values that match with phase3 requirement.
  2. Here I used Muesli for Grain. In Europe Muesli is a famous breakfast and brunch dish based on raw rolled oats and other ingredients including grains, fresh or dried fruits, seeds and nuts. There are many brands available, make sure that you buy 'No Extra Sugar Added, Other than natural Sugar'. This Swiss Meusli & Bob Mills Muesli are available without extra added sugar. For protein serving you an use this Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Patty(Note: Morningstar Patty contains Egg Whites as one of ingredients, So instead you can use this Boca Vegan Protein Patty) .
  3. As mentioned above get 1 cup of 1% Milk. Use 1/2 cup of Milk to prepare 30g of Muesli & 1/2 cup Strawberries per package instuctions and top it of with remaining 1/2 cup Stawberry Slices. Heat Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Patty or Boca Vegan Protein Patty as per instuctions on pacakge and top it of with 5g Butter. With remaining 1/2 cup Milk you can make Tea/Coffee (No Sugar/only Splenda). Now your Breakfast is ready!!.
