High Protein Ghatia Sticks Snack

We all love munching snacks and mostly those are junk food categoery. As you know we can't have any of that junk stuff while in Protein diet. So we made healthy version of munching snack. You can eat this for snack or few pices for extra protein, like with tea/coffee or in bad weather or in theater etc. instead of juck you can eat this. See here how we can make this.

Vital Wheat Gluten Flour - 40g
Unflavored Whey Protein - 10g
• Flax Seed Flour or Oat Fiber - 6g
• Ajwain Seeds(Vamu) - 1/2 tsp
• Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
• Ideal/Light Salt - 1/4 tsp
• Baking Powder - 1/8 tsp
• Olive/Grape Seed Oil - 1/2 tsp.

  1. Ready all ingredients mentioned above, and weigh Gluten flour, Unflavored Whey protein flour and Flax flour (Or you can use Oat fiber).
  2. Pre-Heat oven to 300° F. Then pour all ingredients along with 1 tsp oil into a mixing bowl, mix them all, then add about 30ml water (if need add more later) and mix like chapati/roti dough (gluten makes sticky ness, so mix it fast). CAUTION : Once dough is ready do not wait, because of gluten it will be very sticky and it become VERY HARD to handle.
  3. Once dough ready, immediately make them small pieces and roll like below picture and keep in backing tray, transfer baking tray into over and bake for 20min, in between roll them and watch carefully last 5 min.
  4. Instead of above sticks you can make like diamond shape as shown below. As I said dough gets sticky so use dough immediately after mixing. On cutting boad / hard coutertop, place a plastic cover and place dough and then again place another plastic cover and roll with chapati/roti rolling stick. Once you roll like thick chapati then cut like diamond shapes using pizza cutter. Transfer all diamond shaped pieces into baking tray and keep tray in over for 15min, in between flip them and watch carefully last 5 min.
  5. Now healthy juck (no no.. healthy protein snack) is ready to enjoy. You can't compare taste to junk snacks. This taste fine. You may feel taste little like grass but definitely not grose.
