Diet Tea with 1oz Milk and Protein Rusk (Optional)

Most peoples day start with tea/coffee. But while doing IP Protein diet we have a restriction of only 1 oz(30 ml) of milk twice / day, i.e 1 / 8 th cup of milk.Ideal protein restrict milk in diet because of sugar content in milk.Remember IP suggest to take extra glass of water for every 1 caffine intake.See how we can make diet tea with some sacrifice .

Ingredients:

• Whole Milk - 30ml(1oz)
• Indian Tea Powder(1 tsp)
• Water - 1/4cup
• Splenda/Stevia (to the taste).

Preparation:

  1. Ready with tea making vessel, 30ml milk, water and tea powder.
  2. In 100ml cup pour 30ml milk and remaining fill with water, then pour in tea making vessel .
  3. Add tea powder and stir well, then keep stove on medium heat and let it boil slowly (stir every 1 - 2 min) for 10 - 12 min unitl you see a brown layer forming on top, when you see this almost 40 % gets evaporated and remains about 60 ml .
  4. Add your favourite sweetner like splenda/stevia.
  5. You can enjoy this diet tea twice a day while you are on IP diet. If you are hungry you can drink this with Protein Rusk (approx 3g protein / 1g netcarb / 20 calories / per rusk).
